Where other surveys focus on the details, Mystery Revealed backs up and looks at the bigger picture of the Bible.God has one plan that hits directly at the root problem of humanity. So the entire Bible becomes a blueprint for God's solution to our problem. At the very beginning of the book, we find the Creator setting the stage for the New Creation, then laying down the terms of the Gospel to Abraham who knew about the great Heir to come, and Moses learning God's eternal standard of righteousness, and David works out his 5-point plan for the Kingdom to serve as the master-plan in the work of the Son of David ... these and many more themes are worked out, expanded and fulfilled throughout the Old and New Testaments.(Note: Biblical Studies is not like many other "straightforward" subjects. There is war within the camp: some believe whatever the Bible says, and others do not. It's a moral issue. Those who do not believe it work hard at "proving" that the Bible is inadequate as it stands and that we need more than what God said plainly in the Bible; even academics in the field are busy giving 15 reasons -- historical, literary, archaeological, etc. -- why "responsible" students should not take seriously the written Truth. For the record, Ravenbrook Publishers follows the old Reformation maxim: Sola Scriptura. There was a deep theological need for that stand. Christians need only the Bible to understand God and their faith.)Author page: amazon.com/author/vogan
