A comprehensive study was conducted to determine thorium, uranium and potassium elemental concentration in Kajuru, Kaduna State Nigeria using model Disa-300 portable gamma-ray spectrometer. The data were collected at 300 stations from all over the bedrock surface of the site based on the different lithological units of the study area. Element concentrations determined for uranium (eU) is 62 ppm bounded by 63 ppm contour line were considered anomalous and the threshold value of eU/eTh derived from the background corrected data for the site estimated to be 0.76 ppm. Therefore, all areas bounded by the 0.80 ppm contour line were considered anomalous. The high surface eU concentrations indicate uranium enrichment in this area. The high eU/eTh values and the surface K concentrations were low indicates preferential enrichment of uranium and thorium to potassium in this area.
