Jan Lambrecht, S.J., is Professor Emeritus of New Testament and former dean (1985-1990) of the Faculty of Theology of the Catholic University of Leuven. Since 1984 he has been a memeber of the Pontifical Biblical Commission. His last book-length publication on the parables was "Once More Astonished: The Parables of Jesus" (New York: Crossroad, 1981).
