About the Author Samantha Adams' writing career began at age six when she first learned to print. Her specialty was short rhymes with crayon illustrations. Since that inauspicious but enthusiastic beginning, she has written and published poetry, essays, opinion/editorials, interviews, feature articles and humor pieces. Putting herself through college as an adult, she won, among other things, the coveted Leone Graham Writing Scholarship at a Midwest women's college. She majored in English and Communications and graduated with honors in 1986. In the business world, Ms. Adams was most recently a director of marketing communications for a national trade association where she wrote public relations materials and speeches for the president/CEO. Pink Lemonade, a narrated collection of poetry, essays, short stories and drawings, is her first book. She has recently completed a musical and is currently working on a humor book on starving artists.
