Product Description Plastic Persuasion combines humor and suspense with a positive message in order to portray the hopeful and unseen consequences of cosmetic surgery. A middle aged wife seeks a facelift while her husband has been assigned to interview the very surgeon she has chosen for her procedure. When Carson Scott sees his wife Michaela in the doctor's office for her facelift consult, he must figure out a way to convince her how beautiful she really is. Their daughter, Alexa, finds herself torn between her own desires for beauty and her admiration towards her father. About the Author Lori Fowler is a tenured Associate Professor of Sociology who has studied the cosmetic surgery industry for almost a decade. She feels women everywhere have the right to change their bodies, yet hopes that young girls realize that changing the outside will never lead to fulfillment on the inside. She has published over 75 academic works, and teaches full-time at a community college where she commits to volunteer work and making a difference.
