He flew west and was never seen again. About the Author Dorothy Warren, a fifth generation New Yorker, graduated from Miss Spence s School in 1925 and grew up with many close associations in Ruth Draper s world, often attending the great monologist s New York performances. As an Officer of the WACs in World War II, she was the Director of Special Training for WAC overseas units. After a long career in real estate management and brokerage and in a variety of far-reaching not-for-profit organization, she has devoted her retirement to photography and biography. She is the editor of The Letters of Ruth Draper 1920-1956 and author of Ruth Draper A Portrait of An Actress.
