Product Description Why does a wife push her drunken Anglo-American husband into the bed of a notoriously gay Filipino-American co-worker? As a sexual relationship develops between Ramon and Tod, both are preoccupied with trying to figure out what Ikuko, Tods Japanese-American wife, is trying to do. Is it to make Tod more adventurous or is she setting up Ramon to take over a husband she wants to break from? Are they her puppets or are they acting on desires they did not know they had?As sexually explicit as their diaries are, the question of racial and sexual identities loom large as in Ricardo Ramos explosive first novel Flipping.Stephen Murray, author of Pacific Homosexualities hails this new novel as a probe of sexual subjectivity, racial objectification, forbidden desires, and racial identity that will make some readers shudder and others exult. This is another bravely explicit exploration of very touchy subject matter by Ricardo Ramos. About the Author Ricardo Ramos is the author of the explosive novel Flipping. He is a native of the San Francisco peninsula, where he continues to live and work.
