About the Author After graduating from college in 1985, Charity worked as a newspaper reporter and editor, and then spent her corporate career as a marketing professional. She wrote, mostly anonymously, in her various positions for more than two decades. She completed and published her first book, Secret of Day, in the fall of 2012. Charity began her career as an editorial assistant for Charlotte Magazine. She followed this with work in corporate inside sales, and then became a newspaper reporter for The Herald and a magazine editor for Lake Wylie magazine. Her basic research and writing skills were developed during her years in the daily newspaper business. At different companies, in addition to her jobs in marketing, she took on roles as a system administrator, a code editor, and a website content writer. In sales positions, she contributed to the marketing strategy with written plans, wrote numerous trade publication articles, oversaw advertising and website content, and developed educational and sales presentations. At two different manufacturing companies, she re-wrote technical manuals while overseeing corporate marketing. She now blogs sporadically, has finished and published her first book (Secret of Day), and has completed her second book. Charity's education was a precursor to her varied employment history. In the same way that she is well-suited to creating new projects and managing them, handling many different types of tasks simultaneously, and playing multiple roles, her college education covered everything from Pre-vet to French to English and Art. Beginning with two years at Goucher College and a stint at the Universite de Montpellier to study French, she graduated from Queens University in Charlotte with a B.A. in Business, a single course shy of Minors in both English and Art.
