Shutup! I'm Talking is intended for anyone tired of not being able to express their opinions and feelings, or simply for someone who feels like thinking.Tired of drowning in the abyss of her own thoughts Brown finds a way to stay afloat. In her book appropriately entitled Shutup! I'm Talking, she walks us through her poems compelling everyone tired of being muted out to scream. With over 22 years of experience in life under her belt she digs deep into her feelings of shame, loss, and love to create a life jacket for others to float on. People may have alreadyheard the words of R.L. Brown at Poetry Lounges in the Los Angeles Area, however much of her emotionally exposed work has been saved for her book. Her poems discuss issues surroundingLoveLossDeathRaceIdentity ManagementWith something for everyone to relate to, Isaye exposes herself for the first time to a life without the protection of her life jacket, and without anonymity and noise to hide behind. With nothing to conceal Brown invites those seeking mental stimulation to take a trip inside her head.
