Originally published in 1912. Snowden Slights was better known as "The Last of the Yorkshire Wildfowlers". This well illustrated book contains many fascinating reminiscences of his life: The Derwent Valley - Punts and Punt Shooting - Guns, Dress and Dogs - Wildfowl and Wildfowling - Punt Gun Shots - Flight Shooting - Flight Netting - Decoys - Salmon and Eel Netting - Lamprey Netting - Eel Trapping - Birds of the Derwent Valley, etc. Many of the earliest field sports books, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive. Home Farm Books are republishing many of these classic works in affordable, high quality, modern editions, using the original text and artwork.
