Her youngest daughter, author Doreen Lichtman, grew up listening to the stories of her mother's misfortune and her inspiring efforts to reclaim her life while constantly dealing with the pain. Before Rebecca's death, Doreen promised her mother that she would write Rebecca's life story in hopes of deterring people from drinking and driving. But the author added a twist by revealing the perpetrator's turbulent experiences. Survival from Malice is an inspiring and relevant novel.
