Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Dog) is a hilarious account by Jerome K. Jerome of three overworked friends who decide to take a boating holiday on the River Thames between Kingston and Oxford. Of course, nothing goes according to plan, and the reulting mayhem with such things as tents, camping stoves, and a plaster-of-paris trout trophy creates some of the most entertaining reading ever. A perennial favorite, the book has sold in huge numbers. "I pay Jerome so much in royalties," the publisher told a friend, "I cannot imagine what becomes of all the copies of that book I issue. I often think the public must eat them." Since its initial publication, Three Men in a Boat has never been out of print. In 2003, The Guardian placed it #33 on The 100 Greatest Novels of All Time; in 2009, Esquire placed it #2 in the 50 Funniest Books Ever. If you're looking for laugh-out-loud humor and an entertaining story, you'll definitely find both in Three Men in a Boat. Newly designed and typeset in a 6-by-9-inch format by Waking Lion Press.
