What I hadn't expected, was for Angeline (Ethan's wee lass of a wife) to be just as frightened of him as he is of her... Now, I would warn you... If you are thinking about ordering now, you must first ask yourself if you're up to becoming emotionally involved. The characters of Ethan and Angeline quite literally took on a life of their own, and I couldn't seem to avoid the very painful touching upon a rather sensitive subject-matter. This novel--by way of Angeline--delves deeply into what a woman goes through and the fear she continues to carry after being horribly abused.
