In Triple Engagement-A Nomadic Storytelling Odyssey, Dr. Rincón-Mora weaves magnificent photographs from around the world, breathtaking prose, and moving poetry into lyrical harmony, creating riveting moods with magnetic storytelling quality. He not only conveys the stories through prose, but also through pictures and poems, artfully crafting an entire emotional journey. The stories start "with a photograph, establishing an emotional setting " and end with a poem, which carries the story's "tone to a closing finish."Fight with the narrator in "The Fight for mi Querida Daniela," or audition for a show in "Don't Call Us ? We'll Call You!," or race in the streets of North Miami in "Boys will be Boys." Witness dangerously romantic interludes in the Costa Rican rainforest and China's Souzhou with "A Costa Rican Memento" and "Mimi ? and her Unsuspecting Boyfriend Mao Mao." Feel the emotional destitution of "Rebirth," "Heart Attack," and "Goodbye," or listen to the buoyant and blissful messages of life and love in "Little Lots," "Ride the Friendly Skies," and "The Truth We Know."
