His frantic search soon uncovers nefarious forces at work, determined to ruin the young man and discourage a return to his homeland. A series of passionate and tragic encounters lead the Duke not only to the place of his birth, but also into the recesses of his soul in his desperate attempts to build a life for himself and his young daughter, as well as defeat the political and familial forces determined to destroy him.The authors clever, poignant prose takes us on a journey into the lives of people whose existence is shattered by the corruption and conceit of those in control. Two Coins is an indictment of a system that works against the untold number of innocent souls struggling for their dignity, and in some cases, their very survival.
