Susan Harrison Lincoln's reminiscences about family, small towns, and Southern culture reflect the humor and insight of one who knows "from whence she came." This wonderful collection of stories will help you marvel at the mundane and may cause you to wonder if Mozart got a Pay Day candy bar when he played the piano well. Today, everybody wants a super store, but this author begs for a little one with a few dusty jars of mayonnaise, a couple of cans of soup, and a jar of pickled pigs' feet right next to the bubble gum and bandanas. She writes, "Home has an enduring way of always luring you back, and tucking you in amongst generations of quilts. The phone rings louder there; the lights are dimmer. Sleep comes easily." If you need someone to tuck you in with a few warm memories, find your way to that time When Mimosas Bloom. You'll want to go back, again and again.
