About the Author Al Gowan lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts with his wife Susan. Gowans short stories have appeared in literary magazines, including PLOUGHSHARES and TENNESSEE QUARTERLY. His previous novel, SANTIAGO RAG, is set in Cuba during the 1898 Spanish Cuban American War.
